this week in fedora (2019w21)
Another quiet week with random minor updates. The only interesting thing might be that we (the Stewardship SIG) have started to work on our adopted packages to fix some issues and maybe even bring the Java stack a bit more up-to-date.
fedora updates
I updated the package for the gala
window manager to the latest git snapshot,
which brings fixes for a lot of issues related to management of dynamic
workspaces.
package | version | release | changes |
---|---|---|---|
gala | 0.3.1 | 0.26.20190514.git3ae100d.fc31, 0.26.20190514.git3ae100d.fc30, 0.24.20190514.git3ae100d.fc29 | 4459c59 → 3ae100d |
I also pushed the latest version of Syncthing to fedora, which includes some minor bug fixes and enhancements, but no exciting new features.
package | version | release | changes |
---|---|---|---|
syncthing | 1.1.3 | 1.fc31, 1.fc30, 1.fc29 | 1.1.1 → 1.1.3 |
There also was a new release of the bluetooth indicator for Wingpanel, and it’s already available on fedora. The new version brings some minor visual improvements and updated translations.
package | version | release | changes |
---|---|---|---|
wingpanel-indicator-bluetooth | 2.1.3 | 1.fc31, 1.fc30, 1.fc29 | 2.1.2 → 2.1.3 |
Stewardship SIG packages
As part of my work on the Stewardship SIG packages, we pushed an update for
c3p0
to update it to the latest version and fix two minor security issues,
namely CVE-2018-20433 and CVE-2019-5427.
package | version | release | changes |
---|---|---|---|
c3p0 | 0.9.5.4 | 1.fc31, 1.fc30, 1.fc29 | 0.9.5~pre8 → 0.9.5.4 |
Expect some more updates for outdated Java packages to show up soon.
