This past week, I brought you the 1.0.0 release of syncthing, and also some minor updates for elementary packages - mostly to prepare for the next version of the vala compiler.

fedora updates

elementary packages

I updated the Code package for fedora to the latest upstream release, which contains some fixes around saving files (yes, that really should work correctly in all cases 😅). Also, when restoring tabs at launch, temporary files aren’t attempted to be opened again anymore.

package version releases changes
elementary-code 3.0.2 1.fc30, 1.fc29 3.0.1 → 3.0.2

The latest version of the Sound plug for the elementary Settings application brings minor fixes for the next version of the vala compiler, and updated translations.

package version releases changes
switchboard-plug-sound 2.1.3 1.fc30, 1.fc29, 1.fc28 2.1.2 → 2.1.3

I also submitted the new stable release of the elementary Video application to fedora. It also contains fixes for the next version of the vala compiler, and updates some translations.

package version releases changes
elementary-videos 2.6.3 1.fc30, 1.fc29 2.6.2 → 2.6.3

golang packages

Finally, the syncthing project decided to bump its version to 1.0.0 - to mark the anniversary of the first public release five years ago, and to mark stability and overall “production readiness” (upstream announcement). The version jump from 0.14.54 to 1.0.0 is mostly symbolic, so the new version is equivalent to a 0.14.55 release.

package version releases changes
syncthing 1.0.0 1.fc30, 1.fc29, 1.fc28 0.14.54 → 1.0.0
