this week in fedora (2018w10)
This week, I’ve pushed updates to one of my golang libraries, syncthing
, and
to the fedora-specific session settings for Pantheon.
fedora updates
There were multiple new releases tagged upstream, including a new version of
one of my golang libraries, my new release of pantheon-session-settings
, and
a new version of syncthing
, which dropped support for some optional features
and lost some dependencies along the way. I’m planning on orphaning all my - now
unused - golang packages next week.

The strange build failure of syncthing
on ppc64
machines on fedora 26 still
prevents me from pushing updates to that version of fedora. However, fedora 26
will reach EOL in the near future anyway.
other updates
pantheon-session-settings v27.90
I’ve released a new “beta” version of my pantheon-session-settings
project in
preparation for the fedora 28 release, which brings GNOME 3.28. The 27.90
release brings support for the new version of gnome-settings-daemon
, fixing
the Pantheon session startup on fedora 28 and rawhide.
