this week in fedora (2017w47)
Overview
This week, some golang packages were updated to newer snapshots - or newly released stable versions.
Additionally, the gala
window manager was updated to a new snapshot for
supporting “area” type screenshots, and the slingshot
application menu was
rebuilt again, because the last build didn’t pick up the updated granite
library correctly.
The elementary-nightly COPR repository now exclusively contains packages built from git snapshots, as I’ve migrated all remaining packages from using bzr checkouts to git.

COPR updates
The following packages were adapted to use git sources for building snapshots
(including a .99
version bump to ensure a correct upgrade path):
- cerbere
- contractor
- maya-calendar
- pantheon-files
- scratch-text-editor
- switchboard-plug-bluetooth
- switchboard-plug-security-privacy
Every package built for the elementary-nightly
COPR repository now uses git
sources for snapshots, and no more bzr is used.
