COPR updates

elementary-nightly changes

Alongside their respective version bumps, these packages were switched to using git for snapshots instead of bzr this week:

  • wingpanel-indicator-network (bumped to 2.1.0)
  • pantheon-greeter (bumped to 3.2.0)
  • switchboard-plug-networking (bumped to 0.1.1)
  • switchboard-plug-applications (bumped to 0.1.2)
  • switchboard-plug-keyboard (bumped to 0.3.2)
  • switchboard-plug-mouse-touchpad (bumped to 0.1.2)
  • switchboard-plug-parental-controls (bumped to 0.1.3)
  • switchboard-plug-sharing (bumped to 0.1.1)
  • plank (bumped to 0.11.4)
  • cmake-elementary (bumped to 0.1.0)

I’ve also removed two obsolete / abandoned packages from the repository:

  • eidete
  • pantheon-notes

Additionally, I’ve created a new mock-elementary-nightly package that contains mock configuration files for locally building against the packages in the decathorpe/elementary-nightly COPR repository. It’s available from the repository itself.

syncthing changes

The EPEL7 package of syncthing was also updated to version 0.14.37 in the decathorpe/syncthing repository.

Comment on the state of elementary / Pantheon snapshot builds

Most of the packages in the decathorpe/elementary-nightly repository are now built from git snapshots, as all packages that have had a version bump since the sources were moved to GitHub were adapted to use git instead of bzr.

However, this means that packages that haven’t had a stable release in some time are still built from bzr snapshots. Those include:

  • cerbere (last released on 2016-08-10)
  • contractor (last released on 2016-08-11)
  • maya-calendar (now called calendar upstream, last released on 2016-09-06)
  • pantheon-files (now called files upstream, last released on 2017-06-03)
  • scratch-text-editor (now called code upstream, last released on 2017-02-20)
  • snap-photobooth (now called camera upstream, last released on 2016-09-18)
  • switchboard-plug-bluetooth (last released on 2017-02-20)
  • switchboard-plug-security-privacy (last released 2017-05-22)
