I am proud to announce the immediate availability of kentauros 1.0.5 (which now succeeds the - rather short-lived - version 1.0.4).

Changes

  • kentauros now depends on (and starts to use) GitPython for easier and more robust handling of git sources.
  • Through the use of GitPython and the standard datetime package, the dependency on python-dateutil could be dropped.

Those changes also let me fix a small issue, where the version strings generated for git sources were dependent on the timezone of the committer. Now, the commit date and time are always converted to UTC for the version string, so the ordering is in all cases strictly chronological.

An updated package for fedora is already available through my COPR repository.
